My brother Jonathan came home from Iraq this week on leave! He got to meet his neice Sage for the time. Here are a couple of pictures of him holding her the day he got back. We are glad to have him back and can’t wait for him to be home for good come January.

It seems like just yesterday Amy and I were standing at the alter at the shortest wedding ceremony every (12 minutes and 30 seconds…I have the video)!  Where did all the time go?  A couple days a go (8/14) we celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary, and LORD willing, many more to come.  Things have changed so much this year for us, mainly due to our lovely bundle of joy: Sage.  I am so blessed with an amazing wife and beautiful baby girl.

These precious girls mean so much to me.  Baby, I love you, thank you for all that you do for me, and for all the smiles you bring to my life.  You are a blessing!

This week Sage and I took our first trip to Nana’s House! It was a lot of fun to get to see my Mom and Dad, and Sage got to meet her Nanny, my grandma. Sage was an all-star on the way to Tyler; she didn’t fuss much at all. We spent all day Monday at Nana’s and I got to take a nap! Then Sage hung out with my Dad while Mom and I went on a little shopping trip. Tuesday was a very busy day. We went to pick my grandma, Nanny up from her house and brought her for an early lunch to meet my Aunt Laurie (Dad and Uncle Randall showed up for a while as well). Then we went back to Nanny’s and visited for a while. Next up, was a trip to Babies R Us to get a couple of things. After that we went up to the school that my Mom works at and introduced Sage to lots of new friends, including my first, second, and thrid grade teachers, from when I went to school there. Next it was off to meet Dad at his office and meet new people there too! To finish the day we went to the best Mexican food place in town, Mercado’s. After such a busy day, Sage layed low on Wednesday, but I got to catch up with my best friend over lunch and she came back to the house to see Sage for a while before we made our way back home. I don’t think Sage wanted to leave because she fussed a lot of the way home, but she must have worn herself out because she slept for almost EIGHT HOURS Wednesday night. It was a great trip, thanks to Nana and Papa for being so helpful!!

Not only does he work all day, take care of things around the house, serve as youth director at our church, take seminary classes, help his brother fix up his new house, and fufill best man duties at his best friend’s wedding…he is “Super Dad” He changes poopy diapers, comforts sage when she is fussy, puts her to sleep, feeds her a bottle, reads to her, sings to her, stays up in the middle of the night with her when she is awake, bathes her, changes her clothes and gets spit up on regularly. No one else I know could do all this and still be such a loving amazing husband at the same time.

Here are some cute pictures of Cody pulling baby duty:

So thank you Cody for all that you do, we appreciate it and love you very much!
