Why the Range?

Comments

I only know one way to violate the handicapped parking law, so why the fine range of $50-$250.  Shouldn’t it be a fixed fine?

Quiet but Good

We haven’t been posting much lately but things have been going well at the Dixon house.  Sage is growing way to fast.  It seems like just yesterday we brought her home from the hospital and now she is almost growing out of her car seat!  Amy is such an amazing mother and wife, I am so grateful for all she does.

I’ll try to post some pictures soon.

What a Brave Girl

Comments

Yesterday Sage had her four month old doctor visit. Now, last time we went (2 mo.) it was not a very pleasant experience. Sage got her first immunization shots and cried louder than I had ever heard her before, which made me cry and she spit up all over the doctor table and woke up with a fever that night…not a good day. So this time I was afraid that we would have a similar experience since she was getting the exact same shots as last time. It bothered me more that she would get in her little brain of hers that her mommy and daddy are trying to hurt her by bringing her to this awful needle poking place…again. Anyway, we got her there, on time for the first time, woohoo, and went back for height and weight measurements first. Height: 25 inches long (75th percentile) and weight 16 lbs. 2 oz. (95th percentile) The doctor then came in for his routine exam and told us how great she was doing and that she was “thriving”! He explained that she would get the same immunizations as last time and said that the nurse would be in in a minute. He left, the nurse came in with her little tray of needles and got ready to give Sage the shots. She then took the cap off the first two shots and stuck the first one in…nothing…could it be that Sage would not even notice or care that she was getting pumped full of small amounts of diseases? Nope. I think it just took a couple of seconds for the pain receptors to get to her brain, because she did cry, but not near as much as last time. She cried until the shots were over and stopped pretty much as soon as Cody picked her up. She was such a brave girl and ended up sleeping A LOT for the rest of the day, which didn’t happen last time either. She is getting so big and growing so fast I just want to pause and take it all in before it passes me by and she is off to school, or prom, or college, or getting married, yikes!… Here are a few recent pictures:

Go Red Raiders!

Comments

We watched the Texas Tech vs. Texas game last night and it was so exciting! One of the best games I have seen the Red Raiders play (and win!). To celebrate the victory we decided to dress accordingly for church the next morning and here are the results:
