Funny Face

Comments

We are starting to feel less sick and more rested, so hopefully more frequent posting coming soon! Sage and I still have some  congestion off and on, this dang cold just won’t quit. It has been pretty quiet around here. We are trying to stay in as much as possible when it is cold out since we are trying to get over a cold =)

So lately Sage has been making some funny faces and we have captured a few of them on camera! This girl is cracking me up:

Happy birthday baby! I love you so much!

1st birthday present: A full night’s rest from your adorable daughter :)

So, not only has Sage decided that she likes to get up in the middle of the night for the last two weeks, she has also decided that she likes to wake up for the day at 5:30…A.M.  While it is still dark outside. Now I am usually a morning person; on a typical Saturday, pre-Sage, I would wake up 7:30 or 8, make some coffee, check my email, read, and generally start my day. I never was one of those people who could sleep until noon if everyone left me alone. I just wake up early and can’t really go back to sleep. But come on, 5:30, that is pushing it – even for this early riser. My hope is that this is connected to her having a cold for the last week and a half. That when all her symptoms are gone, so will be the midnight and early morning rising and shining. None the less, she is still cute as a button. Here are some random pictures from this week.

Happy Girl!

The blog was down for a few days and lots has been going on so…this is going to be a long one, brace yourselves!

First, we had a great time out in Iredell TX, for our Hutson Family Christmas/New Year get together. Sage did great both traveling and while we were there. We are very thankful the Bakers let us use their ranch out there. It was beautiful! The weather was also perfect for outside fun of all kinds. More pics here.

Sage is Dedicated!

We  had Sage’s baby dedication at church this past week. We felt so blessed to have so many of our family members come to support us and commit to help raising our little Sage in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We couldn’t do it with out all of y’alls help!

Six month doctors appointment:

First, her statistics are…drum role please!! 18 pounds 5 ounces (90th percentile) and 27 inches long (also 90th percentile). The doctor kept saying that she was thriving, despite the awful cold and cough she has had all week. She is a big girl and has grown out of her baby sink bath. She now uses the big tub and seems to like it ok, when she is not falling asleep :-)

Sage seems to be growing faster and faster and learning so many new things. She has a “crib soother” attached to the side of her crib that has a waterfall and plays music and nature sounds that she likes to look at when she goes to sleep. Well, this morning when I went in to get her, she had turned it on all by herself! I couldn’t believe it. She is figuring out how to push buttons and make sounds/lights come on. On the down side, Sage has been sick all week and maybe going through a growth spurt because she has gotten up at night a lot this week and I have had to feed her the last three nights, which is not usually like her.

Back Online!

Happy New Year!

Comments

With a new year, comes another chance to read through the Bible in one year. It doesn’t seem that hard, roughly three chapters a day every day and you are there. For some reason I don’t think I have ever managed to make it to the end, some years/plans getting farther than others. This year Cody found us a plan that I am very excited about. It has readings for the first 25 days of the month, then the extra days are catch up days or if you are caught up you can work on memorization etc. Here is a blog post with lots of different plans if you are interested finding one that would suit you the best. Happy New Year and happy reading!
