9 months!

View Comments

Our little Sage girl is 9 months old today. The strangest part is that it seems like she has been here for so long, but is just now spending more time out of my belly then in. Weird. She is such a blessing and we praise God for her every day. We had her nine month appointment this morning and she weighed in at 20 lbs. 2 1/2 oz. (75th percentile) and 28 1/2 inches long (also 75th percentile). The doctor said that she looked great and she didn’t have to get any shots this time! woohoo! They did prick her finger to test the iron in her blood, but she didn’t even cry. What a big girl!

The Office

No, this isn’t a post about last night’s episode of The Office (though it was hilarious), Sage and I went to visit Cody at his office! This was Sage’s first time to ride the DART train and visit downtown Dallas. We had a lot of fun getting to see Daddy in the middle of the day and he had a great lunch planned for us at one of my absolute favorite places – La Madeline. They have the BEST Chicken Caesar Salads anywhere.

The weather this week has been so amazing, we have gotten out for a walk about ever day and it was a blast to walk around downtown. You may notice Sage is now traveling “big girl” style in her new car seat and stroller. Here are a few pictures of our day yesterday!

Lunch at La Madeline! Sage likes their lids, and thinks you should try one next time you are there.

No, I didn't change Sage's diaper in the trunk because that what the biggest flat place to do it.

And if I did, I certainly did not let her play in there for a few minutes while I got the stroller folded up and bags put away.

On the way home; thank you Daddy for letting us come see you yesterday!

Spring Break!

This week was my mom’s spring break, so Sage and I took a trip to Tyler to visit. Sage is doing SO MANY new things all at once.  All in the past couple of weeks she has learned how to wave, clap, roll both ways really well, sit from on her tummy, pull up to her knees, bend down and pick something up (while standing holding on to something), stand by herself for a few seconds, eat some table food, feed herself baby puffs and yogurt melts…it seems like she learns something new every day!

Oh and did I mention she is crawling all over the place! We have some serious baby proofing to do around here. Today we were rolling a ball on the tile and she would crawl after it and try to pick it up, but just hit it further away and go get it over and over again, it was the cutest thing!  Here are some pictures from this week:

Yesterday Sage and I were outside in the back yard for a little bit and one of that cats came back there. I let Sage pet him for a minute and since then she has been in love. Every time one of the cats come to the back door Sage wants to be out there petting it, or at least trying to pet it through the sliding door!
