Sage is 10 months old today, so in honor of that I am posting a top 10 list of the things she loves to do.

10. Helping (sort of) – When ever I am putting away the dishes or folding the laundry on the floor Sage likes to try and “help” pulling things out of the dishwasher or out of the laundry basket and holding it out to me, or chewing on it (slightly less helpful). When I am doing laundry, she stands up by the laundry basket and pulls all the clothes she can out and on to the floor.

9. Spitting/Blowing air out her mouth – Sticking her tongue out and blowing air out of her mouth with her lips together is one of Sage’s favorite things. She has been doing that a ton lately. It is cute until she does it while eating…

8. Playing with the Cats – Sage loves to interact with the cats. Most of the time she just grabs at them and pulls their fur, but they don’t seem to mind. Now that they are outdoors they love any attention they can get.

7. Riding in the car – amazingly enough, Sage like to go places in the car. On our Kansas trip she did MUCH better in the car than any other time. She is pretty good at entertaining herself back there too. I can’t wait until she turns one and we can turn her seat around to forward facing!

6. Being outside – Sage LOVES to be outside. Every time we walk anywhere close to the front door, she reaches out for it. We go to parks a lot and she loves to swing and play as much as she can. She also likes to try to eat wood chips  =)

5. Napping – We are finally in a good nap zone, where Sage will take a 1-2 hr morning and afternoon nap.  The better the naps, the later her bedtime can be.

4. “Reading” Books – Sage is finally liking to sit and let me read her (at least part of) a book. Also, when she is playing she will turn the pages herself and look at the pictures.

3. Cruising – After crawling for a couple of months, Sage is getting closer and closer to walking. She is starting to like to hold on to things and walk around. She used to just get down and crawl where she wanted to go because it was faster, but is starting to like to cruise instead!

2. Feeding herself – Favorite foods at the moment: Breakfast – cereal bars, yo-baby yogurt, banana chunks, pear or peach chunks (sometimes). Lunch/Dinner – Turkey – shaved or very thin sliced, shredded cheese, crackers, graham crackers, goldfish, etc, She still eats quite a bit of pureed food, but much prefers to feed herself.

1. Babbling – Her favorites right now are “debu debu debu”, “beeda beeda beeda”, and “ma” (I think for “more” – we taught her the more sign too, which she does pretty well) And she actually said “bye” very clearly the other day when some of our friends were leaving and we were all saying bye to each other. But she hasn’t said it again since, so it was probably a fluke.

This was at cousin Aidan's brithday part last weekend. Sage had a TON of fun crawling around on all the inflatables!

It’s bluebonnet time, and we almost missed them. I went with my friend Emily and her two daughters Tristan and Holly. Here are a few of our favorite pictures!

Last week we went to Kansas for Grandma Timmons’ memorial service. She was an amazing woman of Faith during her 92 years here on earth and is now singing praises to our King.

“Though my eyes grow dim and my thoughts are fuzzy, the Lord is my Rock and my Salvation.”

– Grace Lorene Timmons  1917 – 2009

This was how Sage looked most of the time we were there. She did travel in the car great, but didn't take to staying in a hotel.

This past weekend my two best friends had their baby boys.  Grant and Jill are still hanging around Lubbock for some reason so I haven’t had a chance to go say Hi to Tucker yet, but I did get to hold Jackson for a while yesterday.  Congratulations guys!   God has blessed both of you with healthy baby boys!

We have had a busy last couple of weeks, including a very busy Easter weekend. We had lots of family in town and topped it off with an awesome Easter service at church! We were very excited to see Aunt Lindsay for the first time since she moved to Corpus Christi and had a lot of fun seeing Nana, Papa, and Cookie briefly. After church on Sunday we had dinner at our house with Daniel, Lauren, Aidan, and Avery, while sage took a good long nap. Then we went to Pop’s and Moush’s house to see more family.

My grandma (dad’s mom) passed away this week and we are headed to Kansas tomorrow for the funeral. Please keep the family in your prayers and us as we travel with Sage, who has some sort of cough/cold at the moment.
